Liddy Rose (Srader) Dowell

Liddy Rose Dowell, 79, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Ed Dittfurth officiating.  Burial will follow at Post Oak Cemetery, near Glen Rose.  Visitation will be held 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at Stephenville Funeral Home.

Liddy Rose was born on May 5, 1943, in Wink, Texas to C. L. and Dorothy Baker Srader.  She married Thurman Joe Dowell on December 5, 1958.  Liddy grew up in Hico, farmed with Joe in Huckabay for many years before finally moving to Stephenville.

Her childhood home place on the Bosque River in Hico was always a special place for both Joe and Liddy.  They spent a great deal of time keeping the land cleaned up for the family to enjoy.  Liddy loved the outdoors, taking care of her yard, and spoiling her dogs.  She always remembered her family’s birthdays and loved to celebrate special days as a family

Liddy is survived by her son, Kenneth Dowell and wife Cheryl of Stephenville; son, Keith Dowell of Scottsdale, Arizona; daughter, Karen and husband Stephen Wilson of Stephenville; grandsons, Kristopher Dowell and wife Athena of Stephenville, Kory Dowell and wife Andrea of Ada, Oklahoma; granddaughters, Keaton Dowell of Stephenville, and Hannah Joan Wilson of Fort Worth; great grandchildren, Makenzie, Kyler, Avyn, Kinsler, and Jude.

Liddy was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Dowell, and daughter-in-law, Dana Dowell both of Stephenville
