Leta Fern Maxwell

Leta Fern Maxwell, 83, of Stephenville passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2009 in Stephenville. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, November 20, 2009 at the East Memorial Cemetery in Stephenville with Gary Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday at the Stephenville Funeral Home. Leta was born on August 7, 1926 in Stephenville, Texas to the late J.F. and Vera Grace Green Lowe. She married Calvin Maxwell on January 17, 1944 in Stephenville and he preceded her in death on November 8, 2006. Leta has resided in Stephenville all of her life. She worked for Tackett Manufacturing and SW Linen. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Jackson and husband Joe of Stephenville; daughter-in-law, Paula Maxwell of Dublin; grandchildren, Robert Sparks; Shawn Moore; Darren Maxwell; Russell Maxwell, and Louis Lawson; brother, Wayne Lowe of Stephenville; brother-in-law, Dearl Pittman of DeLeon; Eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Calvin, a son, David Maxwell, sisters-in-law, Shirley Lowe and Nadine Pittman.
