Lee Travis McKinney April 16, 1923-August 24, 2016 Lee Travis McKinney, 93, of Stephenville, died Wednesday, August 24, 2016 in Stephenville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 27th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dale Cartwright officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Dale Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, one hour prior to services. Travis was born on April 16, 1923 in Crosbyton, Texas to the late Rueben and Irene Bunnell McKinney. Travis married Mildred Mae Willis on December 28, 1946 in Stephenville. Mildred preceded him in death on September 5, 2011. Travis was a farmer as well as a cattle buyer and seller for more than 60 years. He was a member of Harvey Baptist Church, past member of Cross Timbers Country Opry, a resident of Senior Care for the previous five years, and a lifelong resident of Stephenville. Travis is survived by his sons, Ronnie and wife Brenda McKinney of Stephenville, and Dale and wife Marla McKinney of Stephenville; sister, Ruby Jean Beverly of Stephenville; grandchildren Brandon McKinney and wife Cathy, Travis McKinney and wife Kimberly, Jason McKinney and wife Kristi, Kayla McKinney Bloch and husband Dustin; great grandchildren, Carson, Kallyn, Camden, and Jayden McKinney, Bryce and Kelsey Bloch, and Damein Thetford and Samantha, and Sidney Beaver Besides his parents and wife, Travis was also preceded in death by sisters, Jewel Lane and Patsy Shelton; and by a brother, Emmett McKinney The McKinney family wishes expressions of sympathy by made in the form of donations to the West Texas Rehab Center, 4601 Hartford Street, Abilene, Texas 79605
