Larry A. Purcell October 2, 1957 - November 15, 2017 Larry A. Purcell, 60, of Morgan Mill, passed away, on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 in LaPorte, Texas. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 20th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Larry was born on October 2, 1957, in Brown County to the late Fred Scott and Betty Lee McHan Purcell. He married Debra Sue Skaggs on January 23, 1999 in Brown County. Larry spent most of his life in the floor covering business. He was a member of the Baptist faith, and has lived the past 21 years in Morgan Mill. Larry loved his family, and had a passion of enjoying the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Larry is survived by his wife, Debra; daughter, Karla Pope and husband Jason Cardwell of Lubbock, and their children, Kilei, Nikki, and Keana Pope; son, Josh and wife Nikki Doud of Brownwood, and their children, Cameron Doud, Cody Barker, Jayce Doud, Patricia Doud, and Oliver Christner; step-children, Robert Lee Powell of Killeen and his children, Brittany Powell, Hope Powell, and Savannah Skaggs; Christie and husband Chris Ford of Lampasas, and their children, Cami Ford and Cason Ford; and Michael Lewis of Stephenville; brothers and sisters, Michael Scottie and wife Cyndra Purcell of Cedar Park, Marie Hays of Brownwood, Tulia Simmons of Lake Brownwood, Betty Purcell of Burkett, O. J. Purcell of Zypher, and Eddie Purcell of Lake Brownwood; and great grandchildren, Jazmine and Sailor; several nieces and nephews; and his dogs, Shelby and Carly Besides his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Milton Purcell.
