Lank was born on January 2, 1944 in Phillips, Texas to the late Milburn Leroy and Benton Edward Reynolds Creacy. He was a cowboy first: Loved ranching, rodeo and cutting horses, and raising cattle; (Winning Doc, Ginnin Around, Miss Quixote Bar, Little Angel Pep, and Padre Pop).
Ranches he worked on: Sanford Ranch (where he worked as a teenager, and through summer in 1965; later again from 1968 to 1970 (John Add & Daisy Wasson); 6666 Ranch (Coon Jeffers & Keith Slover), Moorhouse Cattle Company (Bobbye and David Moorhouse, John Moorhouse) King Ranch (Joe Styles, Buster Welch) Quarter B farm, where he trained Winning Doc and Ginnin Around. McGehee Ranch (Bob McGehee), before moving to our mini-ranch, west of Lipan, TX.
Lank attended Sul Ross State University where he was on the rodeo team, and was inducted into the Sul Ross Rodeo Hall of Fame. He rode bareback horses and saddle broncs. He was a member of the PRCA, lifelong member of the NCHA and AQHA.
Lank married Eva Wheeler on May 24, 1966, in Canadian, TX, a marriage of 58 years. They had three children, daughter, Holly; son, John Add; and daughter, Robyn.
Lank is survived by his wife, Eva; daughter, Holly Creacy Williams and husband Curtis; grandchildren, Curtis Williams, Jr., Jade Rudolph, Lank Rudolph and wife Kim, Flint Creacy, and mother Schelli Creacy Mortimer and husband Adrian; great grandchildren; Hazelynn, Grayson, Lorelai, Ziggie, Kaylee, Bryanna, Dillin, Paige, Maddie, and Cash; brother, Donald Creacy and wife Shirley; and brother, Clarence Creacy.
Lank, over his lifetime had several special friends; Billy Chipps and Billy Branch, for his belief in Lank, his friendship and service to our country; Tommy Bullard (deceased), Tommy Houston (deceased), Carl Christiansen (deceased), Buddy Murrell (deceased), and George Bunn (deceased).
Besides his parents, Lank was also preceded in death by his son, John Add Creacy; his daughter, Robyn Creacy; brother, Linnie Creacy; and sister, Judy Whitson.
Lank’s favorite Bible chapter was the Psalm’s 23rd, and ask all to reflect upon its meaning.
