Lane Wallace December 5, 1931 - November 21, 2017 Lane Wallace, 85, of Stephenville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, November 25th at Oakdale Cemetery, with Brother Werth Mayes officiating. Services are under direction of Stephenville Funeral Home. Lane was born on December 5, 1931 in Corona, New Mexico to the late Everett and Myrtle Wallace. He married the love of his life, Alice Aldrich, on February 9, 1951 in Fort Sumner, New Mexico and together they raised five children. Lane served as a Sergeant in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and later worked as a contractor. Lane suffered from "wanderlust" and he and Alice traveled the world together. Lane was the epitome of godliness, kindness, generosity, and compassion. His family was blessed by a true servant of God as a husband and a daddy. Left to cherish his memory are his lovely wife of 66 years, Alice Wallace; his son, Steve Wallace; daughter, Sharron and son in law Jonathan Sires; daughter, Sandy and son in law Lane Turner; daughter, Sheila Johnson; son, Stacy and daughter in law Lisa Wallace; grandchildren, Jeremiah Sires, Jordyn and husband Mario Lopez, Jason Wallace, Jennifer Mounts, Jeanette Wallace, Wesley Turner and Mandy Johnson; great-grandchildren, Alicia, Alex, and Allee Wallace, Jasmine Mounts, Kallie, Tyler and Jaydon Sires, Jaxon Turner. He was preceded in death by his parents Everett and Myrtle Wallace; and brother, Dearl Wallace.
