Kenneth Morrow Elston, 79, of Comanche, so anxiously went to be with his Savior in Heaven on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 in Comanche. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 24th at the First Baptist Church in Comanche with Dr. Van Christian and Stan Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at School Hill Cemetery in Erath County. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. Friday at Comanche Funeral Home, in Comanche. At the conclusion of the graveside services, at School Hill Cemetery, the Elston family request that everyone bring their musical instruments, and join in songs in remembrance of Kenneth. Pallbearers for Kenneth are Robert Williams, Elden Ray Lupin, Chad Strew, Donald Ray Sims, Lloyd Earl Adams, and Don Metsgar. Funeral services are under the direction of Stephenville Funeral Home. Kenneth Morrow Elston was born in Miami, Texas in Roberts County on February 7, 1933 to the late Charles and Myrtle Elston. He was one of seven children born into this union, he being the second oldest. Kenneth held many jobs but was a cowboy at heart, very friendly, and a loving man, who never met a stranger. He loved everyone. Kenneth was a member of the First Baptist Church of Comanche, where he has resided for the past five years with his beloved wife Judy Mackey-Elston. They were married on the Granbury Queen River Boat in Granbury, on July 16, 1993. He was originally from the Huckabay and Stephenville area in Erath County. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Judy; daughter, Kendyl and husband Roger Lugo of Cedar Park, their children, Michael and Kelly, Layla, Ethan, and Lily Turk, Sara-Moon and Mike, Kaleb, and Sage; son, Kenneth Chad and wife Beth Elston, and granddaughters Logan Grace and Adison Faith, and a grandson soon to be born all of Colorado Springs, CO; and a son, Randy Elston of Stephenville; stepdaughter, Cindy and husband Rick Newton of Hamilton, their children, Matt and wife Beckie; grandsons, Hayden and Jackson of Clifton, daughter Ami and husband Kwail Baskett and their children Riggin, Cade, Keegan, and Kanon of Clifton; Kenneth's five brothers, Allen and wife Juanita Elston of Madras, Oregon, Edwin and wife LaQuita Elston of Stephenville, Gene and wife Rose Ann Elston of Sweetwater, Carroll and wife Linda Elston of Morgan Mill and Mack and wife Sandra Elston of Morgan Mill; one brother-in-law, Royce Sims of Stephenville; Judy Mackey Elston's children, Mike and wife Mary Mackey of Brownwood, Randel and wife Kaye Mackey of Blanket, Harriet and husband Dan Woods of Comanche; grandchildren; Stephanie and Montey Garner and their children Hailey, Tatum, and Aspyn of Coleman and Cutter Hargrove of San Antonio; grandsons, Brent and Scott Mackey; and 5 great grandchildren; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Norman and Glenda Bilbrey of Keller; several nieces and nephews; his church family, extended family and many friends. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his two previous wives, Johnnie Moon and Delores Collins Wright; and by a sister, Derelle Sims
