Kelvin Sanford Wood

Kelvin Sanford Wood, 69, of Stephenville, TX passed away on May 8, 2024, at Baylor Scott & White
Medical Center in Temple, TX.
He was born in Stephenville, TX on November 4, 1954, son of the late Garvin and Olive (Wyly) Wood of
Stephenville, TX. Kelvin graduated from Stephenville High School in 1973 and continued his education at
Tarleton State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1977. Kelvin married Rhonda
McInroe in 1978, who survives.
Kelvin lived his entire life and raised his family in Selden, TX. He believed “all good things come with
patience” and was constantly on the move, working tirelessly at his job as a carpenter, taking care of
cattle, and tending his land. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Methodist Church. Kelvin’s memory will
remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those who were honored to have the privilege of
knowing him.
Kelvin is survived by his daughters, Kourtnie (Mark) Perow of Alexandria, LA; Tiffany (Matt) Wolf of
Kailua, HI; his sons, Nevada Wood of Austin and Dakota Wood of Stephenville; his grandchildren, Marcus
Perow, Shiloh Perow, Reimer Wolf, Ellison Wolf, and Creager Wood; his sister, Nova (Pete) Schouten of
Stephenville; his brother, Sherwyn (Angela) Wood of Stephenville; special friends Dean & Rachel Wilson
of Stephenville; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, as well as his beloved and loyal
Labrador, Goose. Kelvin was preceded in death by his sister, Lynell (Wood) Haedge.
Graveside Services will be held at Selden Cemetery, Monday, May 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Family
visitation will be Monday morning before the service, 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., at Stephenville Funeral
