Karen Turner Mcmeans

Karen Turner McMeans, 68, of Lake Proctor, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010 in Stephenville. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at the Jarratt Cemetery in Jacksonville, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM Thursday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Karen was born on December 12, 1941 in Brady to R.V. & Margie Liverman Turner. She married Jerry Max McMeans on October 28, 1961 in Crane, Texas. Karen was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a beautician in Crane working for Gloria's Beauty Shop. After Jerry's retirement, they purchased some land in 1994 close to Lake Proctor and built a home. This favorite family vacation spot was perfect for country living and camping for the entire family. Karen is survived by her husband, Jerry; son, Scott McMeans of Crane, and his children, Justin, Shane, and Ashleigh Mc Means; daughter, Lisa Holland of Magnolia, and her children, Travis, Karisa, and Blake Holland; son, Tim McMeans of Odessa, and his children, Jade, Jake, and Jered McMeans; sisters, Sue Parker Burr of Mansfield, Lana McCleskey of Mansfield, and Laurie VanCleve of the Woodlands Family wish expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Alzheimer's Assn.
