Julia Flores Sparks

Julia Flores Sparks, 77, of Stephenville, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2007 in Stephenville. Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, September, 2, 2007 at the West End Cemetery in Stephenville with Father Phillip McNamara officiating. A Rosary Service will be held at 6:30 pm Saturday at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Julia was born on April 30, 1930 in Post, Texas to the late Matilde and Pilar Grine Flores. She married Frumencio "Joe" Sanchez on April 5, 1947 in Hondo, Texas and he preceded her in death. She married Frankie Ray Sparks who also preceded her in death. Julia has resided in Stephenville since 1957. She was a member of the St. Brendan Catholic Church and was a homemaker. Survivors include 3 daughters, Josephine Marinez and Max Chavez of Dublin, Janie Woolsey and husband Charles of Stephenville, and Betty Sue Willingham of Granbury; brother, Joe Lucas Flores of Weatherford; 2 sisters, Venicia Sanchez of Stephenville, and Rafaela Flores of Stephenville; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 husbands; a son, Joe Scott Sanchez; daughter, Mary Ramos, brother, John Flores; 2 sisters, Geronima Vaus, and Monica Flores; 3 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
