Judy Lewis

Judy Lewis December 4, 1926 ~ November 29, 2016 Judy Lewis, 89, of Stephenville, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 in Stephenville. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Stephenville Funeral Home. Burial will follow at East Memorial Cemetery. The family will host a visitation at Stephenville Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, November 30, 2016. Judy was born on December 4, 1926 in Carleton Texas, to the late J.V. and Velma Roberts Hickman. She married Doyle James in 1946 and he preceded her in death in November of 1973. She later married Harlin Lewis and he preceded her in death, as well, in 1995. Judy worked as a credit manager and bookkeeper for Goodyear for twenty-nine years. She was a lifelong member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Senior Travel Club. Judy had resided in Stephenville since 1945 and was a member of Harvey Baptist Church. Judy is survived by her daughter, Carol Creech and husband Richard of Stephenville; step-daughter, Joyce Tucker and husband Henry of California; granddaughter, Julie Dusek and husband Don of Houston; grandson, Larry Graham and wife De-lynn of Stephenville; five great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica, Brandy, Alyssa, and Trevor; three great great-grandchildren; and many more loving family members and friends. Besides her parents, Judy was preceded in death by husbands, Doyle James, and Harlin Lewis; sister, Billye Fae Mounce; and son-in-law, Windle Graham.
