Juan Francisco Sanchez

August Francisco Sanchez, 75, of Huckabay, passed away Monday, August 24, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, August 28, 2020 at the Hannibal Cemetery in Erath County. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday at the Stephenville Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00.

Juan was born in El Auguacate, San Luis Potosi to Benito Sanchez and Maria Ines Sanchez. At age 21, he immigrated to the US with little money, but brought his unwavering work ethic in which he instilled in his children. In 1976, he moved to Huckabay, Texas which later came to be home. He married Audelia Yanez in 1985. Juan has worked as a ranch hand for the Stewart Family, the Owens Family, and many more in the Erath County area.

He loved his family, he loved the outdoors, and he loved working with his hands - it's how he built his life and family. Working up until the age of 75 wasn't easy, and his life was seldom so. Still, he smiled and always said "primero las verdes, luego las maduras."

Survivors include: mother, Maria Ines Sanchez; wife, Audelia Sanchez-Yanez; children, Bernardina Sanchez and family, Abel Sanchez and family, Alberto Sanchez and family, Carolina Sanchez and family, Marilu Sanchez, Ana Maria Martinez and family, Maria-Victoria Martinez and family, Pedro Martinez and family; siblings, Nazario Sanchez, Mario Sanchez, Fortunato Sanchez, Camilo Sanchez, Roberta Sanchez, Felipa Sanchez, Eleuteria Sanchez
