Joyce M. (Meredith) Edwards

Joyce Meredith Edwards, 77, of Santo, died Wednesday, November 10, 2021, in Weatherford.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday at Bosley Cemetery in Palo Pinto County, near Santo, Texas, with Pat McIntosh officiating.  Visitation with the Edwards family will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday at Stephenville Funeral Home in Stephenville.

Joy was born on August 1, 1944, to the late Robert Ware and Evelyn Frances Rowell Meredith.  She married Johnny Duane Edwards on March 3, 1973, in Oklahoma City, OK.  Joy was a member of the Santo Church of Christ.  A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she loved to sew, and was an avid sports individual, who especially loved the Dallas Cowboys.  Joy was a retired administrative assistant from Tarleton State University, and she had lived most of her life in Santo, Texas.

Survivors include her son Duane Edwards of Santo; grandchildren, Keleigh McVay, Chloe Robertson, Christian Mills, Kaelyn Morrison, and Katey Gilmore; great grandchild, Paizlee Gilmore; brother, Robert ‘Bob’ Meredith.

Besides her parents, and husband, Johnny; Joy was also preceded in death by a daughter Cathy Robertson.
