Joy Ree Stafford

Joy Ree Stafford, 78, of Stephenville died Tuesday, February 3, 2009 in Stephenville. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dan Murray officiating. Interment will be at West End Cemetery in Stephenville. Joy was born April 5, 1930 in Iredell to the late Albert and Erma Runyon Hamilton. She married Billy Fred Stafford on Sept. 6, 1948, in Stephenville. He preceded her in death on January 21, 2009. Joy was a lifelong resident of Stephenville and a member of First Baptist Church. She was the secretary for the president of Stephenville Savings and Loan. Survivors: sons, David Stafford and wife Cindy, of Stephenville and Kenny Fred Stafford of Sanderson; and grandson, Russell Stafford of Garland. She was preceded in death by a brother, R.H. Hamilton and a sister, Billie Allen.
