Joy Nell (Reagan) Gordon

Joy Nell Gordon, 95, of Stephenville, died on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.

Funeral services for Nell will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 28th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Donna Bowman officiating.  Burial will follow at Hannibal Cemetery in Erath County.  Visitation will be prior to the services on Sunday.

Nell was born on February 25, 1928 in Brownwood to the late Thomas Clabern and Lila Ophelia Gilly Gordon.  She married Arthur Troy Gordon on December 2, 1949 in Brownwood.  Troy preceded her in death on October 3 1978.  Nell spent her life as a family person.  She loved spending time with her girls, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  She loved watching her grandchildren participate in all their sporting events.  Nell was an avid bridge player, and she loved growing flowers.  Nell was a member of the Zonta Club, and First Baptist Church.  She grew up in Brown County, and she and Troy spent most of their life in Erath County.  Nell work for the ASCS for over 30 years.

Nell is survived by her daughters, Marcia and husband Larry Griffin and Glynda Gordon; grandchildren, Troy Brown, Jody Bill Brown and Gordon Carroll; great grandchildren, Twister Brown, Chase Brown, Talyn Brown, and Kindal Brown, and Coen Carroll; great great granddaughter, Taci Brown; nieces, Jan Guerin and Darlene Davis.
