Joy Ann Bailey January 17, 1937-March 6, 2017 Joy Ann Bailey, 80, of Stephenville, died Monday, March 6, 2017, in Stephenville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 10th at Cowboy Church of Erath County with Brother Werth Mayes officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Joy was born on January 17, 1937, in Aransas Pass, to the late Harwood Lee and Edna Lucille Upton Gristy. Joy grew up in Aransas Pass and married Kenneth D. Bailey on April 8, 1955. She and Kenneth spent most of their lives in San Saba raising their family; Joy was a homemaker who enjoyed being actively involved in all of her daughters' many activities as they grew up. Joy and Kenneth have lived the past 11 years in Stephenville. She was a member of the Cowboy Church of Erath County. Survivors include her husband, Ken; daughters, Debra and husband Chuck Arpe of Stephenville, Brenda and husband Mike Bailey of Pittsburg, TX, Linda and husband Dwayland Bates of Lampasas, and Barbara and husband Pat Gresham of Waco; grandchildren, Will and wife Sarah Arpe, Jacklyn Arpe, Laurie Bailey, Tonya and husband Cameron McElyea, Ken and wife Julie Bailey, Crystal White, Brandon and wife Heather Bates, Stephen and wife Shanda Bates, Drew and wife Kayla Gresham, and Shea and wife Caitlin Gresham; 18 great grandchildren; sister, Willine LeRibeus of New Braunfels; brothers, Tina and wife Marie Gristy of Pittsburg, TX, and Justin and wife Sandra Gristy of Corpus Christi; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
