He grew tomatoes, and loved to give them to his friends and neighbors, along with watermelons, cantaloupes, and boxes of peanuts. Jolly loved nature and saw God in a beautiful sunset, a full moon, a beautiful zinnia, or a tiny seed. Jolly served in the Oklahoma National Guard, and was director of sales for Birdsong Peanuts.
