Johnny Boutcher

Johnny Boutcher, 66, of Proctor, passed away Monday, November 15, 2010 in Comanche. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Erath County with Rev. Dale Cartwright officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Johnny was born on May 24, 1944 in Longmont, Colorado to the late John and Loveta McFall Boutcher. He married Leona Shannon on October 31, 1974 in Stephenville and she preceded him in death on December 9, 2007. Johnny served in the U.S. Navy and was a retired Truck Driver. He has resided in Proctor for the past 15 years after previously living in Stephenville. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Johnny is survived by his son, John Boutcher of Proctor; daughter, Judy Kelly of Austin; son-in-law, Richard Murdoch of Arlington; grandchildren, John Kelly, Michelle Kelly, Tyler Murdoch, and Roland Courchene; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Kelly, Michael Metz, Peyton Kelly, Stephen Miller, and Stephanie Miller; sisters, Grace Griswold of Abilene, Anita Boutcher of Ohio, and Verna Broom of Arkansas. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kristi Murdoch; and brother, Dan Boutcher
