Johnnie Mae Clark

Johnnie Mae Clark, 85, went to be with her Lord on Monday, October 17, 2011. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Don Parker officiating. Interment will follow at the Erath Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 Tuesday at the funeral home. Johnnie was born on April 3, 1926 in Erath County to the late John and Gertrude Daniel Melton. She married Jesse Clark on December 9, 1945 in Stephenville and he passed away on December 15, 1989. Johnnie was a member of the Graham Street Church of Christ and worked as an LVN for Stephenville Hospital and Stephenville Medical Surgical Clinic. She has resided all of her life in Stephenville. She is survived by a son, Wesley Clark and wife Brenda Cooper of Carlton; daughters, Judy Lee and husband Carroll of Stephenville, and Nancy Conner and husband Gary of Bowie; grandchildren, Dianna Lee, Devonna Carr, Daphne Handsaker, Jennifer Collins, Stephen Conner, and Stephanie Smith; sister, Sherry Davis of Ft. Worth; sister-in-law, Billie Melton of Goldthwaite; and ten great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother, J.W. Melton, JR.
