Johnnie Louise Carter

Johnnie Louise Carter, 85, of Stephenville, died on Friday, April 8, 2011 in Stephenville. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Monday at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Johnnie was born on October 21, 1925 in Quinlan, Texas to the late John Ernest and Etheal Wilson Walles. She married Luther Bob Carter on June 19, 1949 in Fort Worth. He preceded her in death April 28, 1991. Johnnie was a member of the Huckabay Baptist Church, and volunteered many years with Meals on Wheels. She has lived the past 30 years in Stephenville, moving here from Gordon. Johnnie was a retired Technical Support Supervisor for Texas Instruments. She is survived by two daughters, Ronieva Charlene Stephens of Huckabay, and Darlene Dennis of Palo Pinto; three sisters, Polly Ary of Granbury, Imogene Speer of Granbury, and Joyce Chester of Watauga; four brothers, J. E. Walles of Hurst, Charles Walles of Granbury, Thomas Walles of Mansfield, and Ferd Wallace of Lake Palo Pinto; four grandchildren, several great and great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Walles
