Johnnie Jo (Procter) Anderson

Mrs. Johnnie Jo Anderson, a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend went to be with the Lord on March 29, 2021.  Born on December 20, 1938 to Bertha and Charlie Proctor in Lingleville, Texas.  She attended Lingleville Schools where she was one heck of an offensive basketball player for the Cardinals.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Paul Kenley, officiating.  Burial will follow at Lingleville East End Cemetery.  Visitation with the Anderson family will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at Stephenville Funeral Home

Married on August 25, 1959 to Bobby Joe Anderson at Plain View Baptist Church in Chalk Mountain, Texas. Johnnie spent many hours sewing and quilting and loved making clothes for her daughters and grandchildren. Johnnie loved traveling. They drove to every state except Hawaii with many friends and family.  She never missed watching a Rangers or Mavericks game.  After many years in the DFW area, Johnnie and Bobby retired to the 100 year old family farm in Chalk Mountain where they loved watching the deer and the turkeys from their easy chairs.  Johnnie was a member of the Pony Creek Baptist Church.

Johnnie is preceded in death by her parents Bertha and Charlie, brothers, Charles, William, Tommy, and Marshall, and nephew Maynard Proctor.

Survived by husband of 61 years, Bobby Joe, daughters, Tammy Patterson and husband Raymond, Vicky Turner and husband Mike, grandchildren, Hillary, Mike, Zachary, Kelsey, Haley, Zach, Emily, Brandon, a tribe of great grandkids, brother Donald Procter, wife Paula, sisters- in- laws, Stella Procter, Dr. Dannah Procter, and Mary Proctor, and numerous nieces and nephews.
