John Wakefield

John Jee Wakefield, 57, of Stephenville, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021 in Glen Rose.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Pony Creek Cemetery in Erath County. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.

John was born on November 15, 1963 in Midland to the late James and Myrle Wakefield. He was a graduate of Stephenville High School and worked as a truck driver. John married the love of his life, Sherry Villines on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2002 in Midlothian where they resided before moving home to Stephenville 16 years ago.

Survivors include his wife, Sherry Wakefield of Stephenville; son, Logan Wakefield of Stephenville; daughter, Beverly McRorey of Stephenville; son, Brian McRorey of Gun Barrel City; brothers, Perry Wakefield of Stephenville, James Wakefield of Nevada, and Robert Wakefield of McKinney; sister, Barbara Atiya of Arlington; grandchildren, Cora, Gunner, Christopher, and Brianna; and many nieces and nephews.
