John Ben Rumph, 82, of Pony Creek, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2012 in Fort Worth. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 15th, at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bob Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Pony Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral Home. John was born on January 19, 1930 in Fort Worth to the late F.M. (Doc) and Ruby Beach Rumph. He married Wanda Johnson on March 18, 1953 in Hico. John served in the U. S. Army during Korea, and was a member of the Presbyterian Church. He lived several years in Fort Worth, most of his life in Erath County. John retired as an electrician after several years with General Motors. He loved to farm and raise cattle. John is survived by his wife, Wanda; son, Byron of Stephenville; daughter, Beth and husband Spencer Randolph of Stephenville; grandchildren, Eli and wife Kaci Randolph, and Ashli Randolph; great grandchild, Hagan Randolph.
