John Gardner

John Gardner 74, of Rising Star, formerly of Huckabay, passed away Monday, September 10, 2007 in Eastland. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Cartwright officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Erath County. John was born on March 24, 1933 in Erath County, Texas to the late Jesse Franklin and Lois Rebecca Knight Gardner. He married Edia Lou McInroe on December 27, 1955 in Huckabay. John has resided in Rising Star Texas for the last 25 years. He was an Oil and Gas Lease Operator and a member of the Baptist Church. John served in the US Army during the Korean War. Survivors include: his wife Lou Gardner: sons, Delton Bell of Waco; Johnny Gardner of Huckabay; sister, Jo Ann Gardner Weems of Meridian; three grandchildren, Sabra Gardner; Payden Gardner and Scott Black; and several nieces and nephews.
