Joann (Barron) Stone

August 9, 1937 — March 6, 2021

After a long battle with Alzheimer’s, our beloved JoAnn Stone, 83, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday March 6, 2021. JoAnn was born on August 9, 1937 and was a lifelong resident of Stephenville. She married Terrell Stone on June 4, 1953. She was a member of the Oak Dale Methodist Church.

Graveside Services for JoAnn Stone will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2:00 p.m. at Indian Creek Cemetery with Werth Mayes officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 12, at Stephenville Funeral Home.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elsie Yeates; husband, Terrell Stone; a son, Jerry Stone; a brother, Jimmy Barron; a step-sister, Mary Mooney; and a grandson, Eric Stone.

JoAnn is survived by sons, Terry and wife Holly of Stephenville and Robert and wife Adriana of Pflugerville, Tx; step-sisters, Martha Savage and Dorothy Casteel; grandchildren, Rene Koterba (Scott), Crystal Lopez, Cody Stone (Meredith), Brandon Stone (Lauren), Allison Woods (Nathan), and Shannon Stone; 13 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

The Stone family is requesting that everyone please wear a mask.
