Jimmy Weldon

Jimmy Weldon September 23, 1942-August 10, 2017 Jimmy Weldon, 74, of Stephenville, died Thursday, August 10, 2017, in Stephenville. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 PM Tuesday, August 15th at Church of the Nazarene with Kurt Plaxco officiating. Stephenville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Jimmy was born on September 23, 1942 in Konawa, Oklahoma, to the late Louis Eugene and Euda Irene Branscum Weldon. He married Wilma Jean Minks on October 15, 1960 in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Jimmy served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, and has lived in Stephenville since 2002; moving here from the San Bernardino County area, where he lived most of his life. Jimmy was retired from the U. S. Postal Service. Survivors include his wife, Jeannie; sons, David and wife Crystal of Cary, North Carolina, and Perry Weldon from Riverside, California; daughter, De and husband Darin Shewmaker of Stephenville; brothers, Tony and wife Shizuko "Betty" Weldon of Cathedral City, California, Fred and wife Susan Weldon of Stephenville, and Larry and wife Ramona Weldon of Prescott Valley, Arizona; sister, Judy and husband Dave Stokes of Holiday Island, Arkansas; 12 grandchildren, which include, A'dayr, M. E., Kiran, Wryle, Noah, Jacob, and Lilly; and ten nephews and nieces.
