Jimmy R. Cozby

Jimmy R. Cozby, 62, of Stephenville, died Friday, August 22, 2014. A private memorial service will be held at a later date with family and close friends. Arrangements are under the direction of Stephenville Funeral Home. Jimmy was born on April 16, 1952 in Stephenville, to the late Bennie and Pearl McGee Cozby. He married Sherrie Parham, on October 8, 1986 in Fort Worth. Jimmy was a member of the Cross Timbers Baptist Church and a lifelong resident of Stephenville. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sherrie; children, Ben Cozby and wife Amie of Boyd, Jennifer McConnell of Burleson; step-children, Johnny Robinson and wife Kerin of Fort Worth, Amber Carpenter and husband Jason of Stephenville; grandchildren, Justin, Austin, Ashton, Makindsey, Bree, Jacklon, and Jackson; brother, Jerry Cozby and wife Gale; niece, Jill Owens of Stephenville; nephew, Bradley Cozby and wife Christy; and many close friends. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by Granddaddy McGee. The Cozby family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the local Humane Society.
