Jim Poston October 26, 1946 ~ May 15, 2016 Jim Poston, 69, of Stephenville passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 in Stephenville. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 19, 2016, at Stephenville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Stephenville Funeral Home. Jim was born on October 26, 1946 in Fort Worth, Texas, to the late Talmadge C. and Kathryn Velma Biggs Poston. He graduated from Stephenville High School class of 1965 and attended Tarleton State and Texas Christian University. Jim married the love of his life, Cissy Brown on March 4, 1967 in Stephenville and together they raised two children. He worked in retail sales, spending most of his life in Stephenville. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Cissy Poston; daughter, Susan Culpepper and husband Randy of Stephenville; son, Jason Poston and wife Chayla of Stephenville; eight grandchildren, Ashley, Merideth, and Morgan Culpepper, Jacob, Corbin and Payton Poston, Carlee Hightower, and Kyler Eudy; one great-grandchild, Jaxon; sister Alicia Berry and husband Jack of Stephenville; and many nieces and nephews. The Poston family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
