Jewel Dean Hughes Dunagan October 10, 1919-July 4, 2018 Jewel Dean Hughes Dunagan, 98, of Stephenville, died Wednesday, July 4, 2018, in Keene. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at Cranfills Gap Cemetery with Don Anderson officiating. Services are under direction of Stephenville Funeral Home. Jewel was born on October 10, 1919 in Hamilton County, Texas, to the late William Abner and Sara Matilda Glover Hughes. She married Sam F. Dunagan, who preceded her in death on December 12, 1997. Jewel Dean was a member of the Methodist Church in Cranfills Gap, and was a homemaker. She loved to garden, sew, cook for her family, and loved being with her grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters, Sandra (Buddy) and husband Gene Ferguson, and Johny and husband James Brock; grandchildren, Sheri and husband Tommy Sanders, Herschel and wife Tammy Dunagan Stephanie Banda, and Teresa and husband Dale Lee; great grandchildren, Kimberly, Ridgely, Clay, Elaine, Hunter, Savannah, and Andy; and great great grandchildren, Pecos and Piper Besides her parents and husband, Jewel was also preceded in death by a son, Sammy T. Dunagan. The Dunagan family wishes expressions of sympathy by made in the form of donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
