Jessie Leola Saunders

Jessie Leola Saunders, 96, of Copperas Cove, passed away Tuesday, April 05, 2011 in Stephenville. Jessie was born on April 12, 1914 in Haskell County, Texas to the late Earnest Jesse and Martha Couch Ward. She married Delbert Hoyt Saunders on September 1, 1931 in Colorado and he preceded her in death on September 5, 1963.Jessie has resided in Copperas Cove since the mid 1970's and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Harker Heights. She has her doctorate in homemaking and motherhood. Jessie is survived by her sister, Vera Wilson of Lemoore, CA; sons, Frank Saunders and wife Sheila of Dublin, and Kenneth Wayne Saunders and wife Susan of Colorado; niece, Josephine Hobbs of Oregon; grandchildren, Dr. Frank Saunders and wife Kathy of Stephenville, Sheila Patterson and husband Marvin of Purvis, Sharon Ann Saunders of Tennessee, Margaret Ferguson of Dublin, and David Saunders and wife Dianne of Keller; She was also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
