Jessie Martin was born on August 2, 1952 to Eugene E. Martin and Gisela Rubenstein-Hamann, in Salzburg, Austria where his father was serving in the U.S. Army. Jessie passed peacefully from this life into the next on January 10, 2025.
Like his father, Jessie was an Army Veteran, and after his time in the service he met and married Celeste Martin in March of 1973. Celeste preceded him in death in 2011.
Jessie’s greatest joy was his relationship with the Lord, his family, and serving Stephenville and the surrounding area as the owner and operator of Jessie’s Air Service. He was an active member of Cornerstone Church in Stephenville.
Jessie is survived by his sons, Aaron, Cody and wife Jennifer, Brian and wife Meagan, Daniel and wife Brianna; siblings Gene and wife Andrea Martin, Viola and husband Gary Babcock, Carol and husband Dennis Ditmanson, and Joycesarah and husband Jess McCabe; grandchildren, Jayce, Aston, Christian, Gatlin, Eleanor and Keaton; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nephews and great nieces.
A celebration of Jessie’s life will be held at 10 AM on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Cornerstone Church with Pastor Ed Dittfurth officiating.
We are forever grateful for the compassion shown to Jessie by his many friends and those who helped care for him in this last season of his life.
We find solace in the memories we shared and in the enduring impact of his remarkable life. Jessie’s light will continue to shine in the lives he touched, and his legacy of love, integrity, courage, and strength will guide us as we move forward. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in our hearts forever.
Should one desire, donations can be made to The Cancer Foundation for New Mexico for the Celeste Martin memorial fund. Information on how to donate by mail or online can be found at cffnm.org.
