Jerry Neal Locklin

Jerry Neal Locklin, 77, of Stephenville, died Tuesday, May 01, 2012 in Stephenville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 4th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Howard Martin officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Jerry was born on November 27, 1934 in San Antonio to the late Percy and Thekla Schwartz Locklin. He married Yvonne Alsup on October 19, 1957 in Stephenville. Yvonne preceded him in death on September 13, 2010. Jerry served in the U. S. Marine Corps, a lifetime member of the NRA, former member of the Stephenville Optimist Club, CASI, and worked several years with Meals on Wheels. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and had lived in Fort Worth from 1960 until 1976 when he and Yvonne moved to Stephenville. Jerry retired after several years as Labor Relations Director with Burlington Northern Railroad. Survivors include daughters, Lisa and husband J. D. Duggan of DelValle, Texas and Stacy and husband Harry Dieter of Mansfield; grandson, Andrew Locklin of Dallas; and several nieces and nephews. Family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the charity of their choice.
