Jerry (Geraldine) Lane

March 28, 1933 — January 20, 2009

STEPHENVILLE - Jerry (Geraldine) Little-Lane, 75, of Stephenville went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2009. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 24th at 11:00 a.m. at the Stephenville Funeral Home with a burial service following immediately at the Johnsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, January 23rd at the Stephenville Funeral Home. Jerry was born in Hico, TX on March 28, 1933 to Vera and Aaron Sanders. She grew up in the Iredell and Hico area. She married the love of her life Sam Little on September 23, 1955. She spent the earlier part of her adult life in Irving and Whitesboro as an owner and operator of child care centers for 25 years. After she moved to Stephenville in the late 1970's she became involved in the home health care business for sick and terminally ill people. She took care of over 15 people and cared deeply about each one of them and their families. She was a very sweet and giving person. She believed in working hard and modeled this all of her life. She was well known in later years for making pies and continual batches of fudge for friends, sick people, and even mere acquaintances. Jerry battled breast cancer for several years. She was very courageous and kept her sweet spirit through it all. The family asks that expressions of sympathy be made to the Erath County American Cancer Society or the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Jerry was preceded in death by her husband Sam; parents, Aaron Sanders and Vera Sanders-Weldon; sisters, Erma Lee Mitchell and Opal May Carmichael; and brother, TJ Sanders. She is survived by her daughter, Kim Little and fiancé Ron Bollier of Minneapolis, Kansas; and son, Mark Little of Hico, Texas; six grandchildren, Carter Hall and wife Lacey, Whitney Hall, Desiree McNally and husband Norris, Monica Little, Lisa Little, and Riley Bollier; two great grandchildren, Hayden Hall and Claire McNally; sister-in-law, Cloyce Little; many nieces and nephews; and special friend Harris McCollum. She will be missed dearly by all of her family and friends.
