Jerry Roland Jordan

Jerry Roland Jordan, 65, of Stephenville died Tuesday, December 20, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 22nd at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Russell Cater, son-in-law, officiating.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, an hour prior to services.  A private family graveside service will take place after the Christmas holidays at West End Cemetery.

Jerry was born on February 20, 1957, in Dallas to Charles Buddy and Faye McDonald Jordan.  He attended public school and graduated from Sealy High School in Sealey, Texas.  Jerry has spent the last 40 years in Stephenville.  He was a finish carpenter by trade, and for over 20 years was maintenance director at Tarleton State University.  Jerry’s passion was the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.  He loved spending time with family.

Jerry was married to Maridee Batla, and later married Cindy Chapman, who preceded him in death, August 17, 2018.

Jerry is survived by his children, Samantha and husband Russell Cater of Conroe, James and wife Amanda Jordan of Columbus, TX, and Shawn Back of Stephenville; brothers, Chuck and wife Peggy Jordan of De Leon, Perry and wife Lori Jordan also of De Leon; sister, Sherri and husband Stephen Reed of Dublin; grandchildren, Anson, Bodie, Kylee, and Corbin Cater; Jakelyn and Tristan Jordan; Seth and Levi Stang; Allie’cin and Willow Black; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife, Cindy; Jerry was also preceded in death by his mother, Faye Jordan.

Honorary Pallbearers for Jerry are, Burt Morris, Fred Childress, Scott, Tanner, Trevor, and Trey Jordan; and Jodi Sharp, and Lisa Reed.
