Jerry Lou Bailey

Jerry Lou Bailey, 70, of Stephenville passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013 in Stephenville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 25th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dan Murray officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Jerry was born on December 16, 1942 in Dallas to J. R. and Leon Wingfield Bell. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1961, and attended two years of a business college. Jerry married Bill Bailey on January 20, 1967 in Dallas. Jerry was a very active member of the First Baptist Church of Stephenville, and 25 years ago started bible study classes at Summer Sky. She lived a number of years in Dallas, Irving, and Houston, and has lived the past 34 years in Stephenville. Jerry was a homemaker. Jerry is survived by her husband of 46 years, Bill; daughter, Brandi Bailey of Kingwood; son, Jason and his wife Yesenia Bailey of Cypress; sisters, Carol Loftis of Denton, Penny Smith of Kilgore, and Jackie Speigel of Vienna, Virginia; brother, Lonnie Higginbotham of Dallas; her grandchildren, Kennedale, Jordan, Micah, Joci, and Trinity; and by several nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by her father J. R. Bell; mother, Leon Higginbotham; and a sister, Nina Roach.
