Jean M. McCracken, 93, of Stephenville, died Tuesday, November 10, 2020 in Stephenville.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, November 15th at Rock Church Cemetery in Hood County, with brother Terry Enns of the Grace Bible Church in Granbury.  Services under direction of Stephenville Funeral Home

Jean was born on April 17, 1927 in Great Falls, Montana, to the late Virgil Boyd and Helen Marquerite Hissong McCracken.  She received her BS degree in education from the University of Houston, and taught in the Houston ISD.  She went as a missionary to British Guiana, where she worked among the Wai Wai Indian tribe for thirteen years.  When she returned to the states she taught in Christian schools, and proofread for a Christian publisher.

Survivors include her nephews Buford and wife Johnnie Sullivent, Sr. of Bluff Dale, and Keith Sullivent of New Braunfels; and several great nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Jean was also preceded in death by two sisters, Joan and Marguerite; and a nephew, Johnny Sullivent
