Jay A. "Froggie" Hale

Jay A. ‘Froggie' Hale, 88, of Stephenville, died Thursday, February 28, 2008, in Stephenville. Graveside Services will be held at 3:30 PM, Saturday, March 1, at East Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Emil Becker officiating. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Froggie was born September 1, 1919, in Stephenville to the late Jay and Mary Ellen Jenkins Hale. He married Betty Haynes, December 14, 1965 in Glen Rose. Froggie was a WWII Army veteran. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church, American Legion, and a life long resident of Stephenville. He was a carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Betty; step-son, Terry Haynes of Richland Hills; step-daughter, Judy Bolling of Stephenville; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Hale; and a grandson, Chris Haynes.
