Janie Wilcox

Janie Wilcox, 99, of Denver, Colorado, a former long time resident of Stephenville, died, Friday, October 19, 2007 in Denver. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 24 at West End Cemetery in Stephenville. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday at the Graham Street Church of Christ. Under direction of Stephenville Funeral Home. Janie was born September 6, 1908 in Justin to the late W. T. and Lucy Campbell Penick. She graduated from high school in Perrin, TX. She married Lem Wilcox in 1934 in Marietta, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death May 16, 1957. While in Stephenville she was a full time beautician, and a member of the Graham Street Church of Christ. She moved to Denver, Colorado in 2001 to be with her son. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Warren and Carolyn Wilcox of Denver; three grandchildren; grandsons, Wes and his wife Natalie, and Brent and his wife Anna; and granddaughter, Shera; great grandchild, Jonah.
