Jane Lois Branch, 92, of Stephenville, passed away at Stephenville, Texas on April 30, 2012. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 3:00 pm at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be officiated by Hughbert Collier, an elder at Graham Street Church of Christ and a family friend. Mrs. Branch was born Jane Lois Staley on January 22, 1920 in Manhattan, New York to Olive Margaret Munz Staley and Edward Clayton Staley. In her younger years, she and her mother lived in New York, California and Louisiana and in June 1940 she was married to Clyde Oliver Branch in Shreveport, Louisiana. They were married for 57 years and lived in numerous cities as Mr. Branch worked for Exxon Oil Company. Upon the retirement of her husband they moved to Waco, Texas and after the death of her husband in 1997, Mrs. Branch moved to Stephenville to be near family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. The last few years she has lived at Good Tree Retirement Center. Due to recent failing health, she passed away at the Senior Care Center of Stpehenville. In her younger years, Mrs. Branch loved to fish and her ashes will be scattered over a favorite fishing lake in Louisiana. Survivors include her two sons, Clyde O. Branch, Jr. and wife Rene of Spring, Texas, and Larry Branch and wife, Jan of Stephenville; two grandsons, Rusty Branch and wife Debbie of Fort Worth, and Roney Branch and wife, Kris of Lucas, Texas; one granddaughter, Linsie Branch and fiancée Caesar Cervin of Dallas; sister-in-law, Dorothy Branch of Sacramento, California; five great-grandsons, Andrew and Alex Branch of Fort Worth, Bryce, Michael, and Zachary Branch of Lucas; two great-granddaughters, Cami Branch of Lucas and Giada Cervin of Dallas; numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
