James Duncan Daniel

James Duncan Daniel was born in Pecos, Texas in August 19, 1961. He passed away on his birthday on August 19, 2024.

His parents are William Holland Daniel of Dublin. And Mary Lois Bittle Daniel. They were well known for their good works.

Our parents were having an extended debate over the order of James’ name. In jest the local newspaper ran a short article about the poor little Daniel baby boy still does not have a name. Dad relented on the name order. My little brother forever became James Duncan Daniel.

James was a busy and hard-working man. He found his calling in the tire business. For many years, he had a road side service company, specializing in 18-wheeler tires. He had some whooping knee slapping stories. Once when he was underneath changing a large equipment tire, a lady jumped in the cab and ran over him. Folks running, yelling he’s dead. Who do we call? James voiced that if anyone but that lady would roll the machinery off him #!&*!. He would leave. Of course, his language was much more descriptive than my pale narrative.

James had an unhesitating action filled life. He liked gardening, reading, music, and movies. He LOVED animals. His favorite dog, Clyde, rode with him while he worked for years. His Tabby cat Simba is jumping in all of my window sills, looking for James. He was a good father with a big heart.

James was T-boned by another car going 65 miles an hour. He lost over 70% of his heart. His projected length of life he BEAT by years. As the weather cools, a graveside service will be announced.

Survived by: Chris Daniel-Flippin and spouse Stephanie Flippin of Haltom City, Jerry Daniel of Ft. Worth, Jennifer Daniel Mclamore and spouse Eugene Mclamore of N. Richland Hills, Alyssa Daniel and spouse Dennis Teutsch of Ft. Worth, step daughter Adrienne Rocha and spouse Anthony Rocha of Ft. Worth, Brother Danny Daniel and spouse Gail Daniel of Stephenville, sister Kay Daniel Patterson and spouse deceased Jesse Patterson of Stephenville. Grandchildren: Rhyms, Rhylee, Cayden, Alden, Jessa, Journey, River Daniel-Flippin, Macie and Gracie Mclamore, Samuel and Nicolas Rocha, Alyssa and Dennis’ baby on the way. Many Family members and friends!
