James "Bud" William Weger, 93, of Lingleville, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011 in Stephenville. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, March 25, 2011 at the Lingleville Baptist Church in Lingleville with Rev. Joel Sanders and Landon Salyer officiating. Interment will follow at the Lowell Cemetery in Erath County. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday at Stephenville Funeral Home. James was born on March 4, 1918 in Colbert, Oklahoma to the late Louis and Ena Carter Weger. He married Dortha King on February 17, 1940 in Colbert and she preceded him in death on January 9, 1998. James has resided in Lingleville since 1985 after previously living in Granbury and in Oklahoma. He worked in construction and was a member of the Lingleville Baptist Church. He is survived by 5 children, Vera McMahon of Menomonie, Wisconsin, James Douglas Weger and wife Peggie of Granbury, Beverly Hudson and husband Truman of Lingleville, Pricilla DuValle and husband Dante of Lingleville, and Angela Turner and husband Milton of Glen Rose; sisters Opal Daniels and Joyce Martin and husband Dewey of Denison; brothers, Earlene Weger and wife Peggy of Colbert, OK, and Darvin Weger and wife Marge of Colbert; brother-in-law, Dwight Caturia of Arkansas, Wisconsin; sister-in-law, Wanda Weger of Colbert; 31 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a two grandsons, Dohny Turner, and Larry McMahon; 5 brothers; and 2 sisters.
