James Loyce Wallace

James Loyce Wallace August 18, 1925-July 19, 2016 James Loyce Wallace, 90, of Arlington, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, July 19, 2016. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kory Koch officiating. Interment will follow at West End Cemetery in Stephenville. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. James was born on August 18, 1925 in Stephenville, Texas to the late Jim and Rosie Wallace. He joined the Navy on November 12, 1943, and married Rudene Gage while on leave November 24, 1945. After leaving the Navy on June 7, 1946 he returned to Stephenville. In 1953 he and his wife moved to Arlington where he worked for General Motors, retiring in 1983. James loved his family, fishing, and working in his garden. He was loved by all. James is survived by his wife of 70 years, Rudene Wallace; sons, Bill Wallace and wife Christine of Grand Prairie, and John Wallace and wife Kelly of Round Rock; grandchildren, Brittany Wallace, Robert Wallace, Angel Vargas, Heather Wallace and Christopher Wallace; two great grandchildren; brother D.E. "Dink" Wallace; nephew, Leland Wallace; and numerous cousins.
