James Newton Sanders October 26, 1943 ~ August 16, 2016 James Newton Sanders, 72, of Stephenville, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016 in Fort Worth. A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Stephenville Funeral Home to celebrate James' life. James was born on October 26, 1943 in Dublin, Texas, to the late Edmond and Vista Aubrey Hill Sanders. He married Sharon Watson in October of 1989 and together they had three children. James retired after 43 years from Jake and Dorothy's restaurant where he worked as a cook. He resided in Stephenville all his life. Survivors include his children, James Edward Sanders and Bridget of Stephenville, and Lea Ann Sanders of Abilene; grandchildren, Elizabeth Marie Sanders, Zachary James Nemec, Jerry Glynn Sechrist, Jr., Sarah Sanders, Danny Earl Conner, Jr., and Joseph Lyle, Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sharon; and by his son, Don Wayne Sanders.
