James Edward Odom January 30, 1931 ~January 23, 2017 James Edward Odom, 85, of Stephenville, passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 in Stephenville. James was born on January 30, 1931 in Wiergate, Texas, to the late Robert Allen Odom and Nancy Lamberth Odom. James served in the United States Air Force and then worked as a helicopter mechanic for forty years until his retirement. He loved fishing and working with his hands. He has resided in Stephenville since 1992 after previously residing in Kirbyville. James was a member of the Southern Baptist Church and will be missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his daughter, Nancy Durant Odom of Granbury; son, Derrick Edward Odom of Stephenville; grandchildren, Danul Durant, Shane Durant, Derrick Wayne Odom, James Lee Odom, and Brandi Michelle Odom; and one great-grandson, Eli Odom. There will be no services at this time.
