James Watson Morgan, Jr. November 24, 1968 ~ August 16, 2016 James W. Morgan, Jr., 47, of Stephenville, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016 in Stephenville. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, August 19, 2016 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kory Koch officiating. Interment will follow at the West End Cemetery in Stephenville. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 prior to Service. James was born on November 24, 1968 in Wichita Falls, Texas to the late James Watson Morgan Sr. and Judy Kay Mitchell. He married Sandy Maricia Bertrand in Nederland, Texas on July 25 1992 and together they raised a daughter. James worked as an off shore cook for the oil industry and later worked for Appleton Electric in Stephenville. He has resided in Stephenville for the past 20 years after previously living in Nederland and Bridge City. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 24 years, Sandy Morgan of Stephenville; daughter, Stacy Nicole Morgan of Stephenville; sisters, Jamie Gore of Nachogdoches and family, and Heather Love of Kirbyville and her family; brothers, Kory Morgan of Dallas and family, and Shane Pender of Florida and his family; James is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and loving family and friends. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
