James Allen Littleton, 81, of Stephenville, died Thursday, September 11, 2008 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday at Stephenville Funeral Home with Reverend Robert Baldridge and Reverend Emil Becker officiating. Burial will follow at Clairette Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday at Stephenville Funeral Home. James was born December 7, 1926, in Clairette, to the late J. W. (Roy) and Evalena Miller Littleton. He married Marjorie Knighton, June 28, 1958 in Angleton, TX. James graduated from Alexander High School in 1944, and attended Texas Tech University. He was drafted into the U. S. Army, February of 1945, and discharged September of 1946. He served in the 346th division. James served as a Combat Engineer in the European Theater of Operations during WWII. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. James lived in Lubbock many years before moving back to Stephenville in 1958. He was retired from Bell Helicopter. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; son, Barry of Stephenville; daughter and son-in-law, Cyndee and David Baldridge of Stephenville; three grandchildren, Ross, Abby, and Sawyer; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Grady, Glen, LeRoy, Elvis, Clinton, and Winfred Littleton; two sisters, Delma Golightly and Nona Chambers; and by a daughter-in-law, Melissa Littleton
