James Donald "Jim" Creek

James Donald ‘Jim' Creek, 76, of Hico, died Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Harris Methodist Erath County Hospital. A Praise Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 19, at Stephenville Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Baker officiating, assisted by Dr. Neil Wade. Burial will follow at Pony Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Jim was born January 6, 1932, in Borger, Texas, to the late Lee and Mildred Ford Creek. He married Sharon Kay Duvall, October 1, 1988 in Winnemucca, Nevada. Jim served in 3rd infantry division in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Pony Creek Baptist Church, a member of the VFW, and American Legion. Jim has lived the past ten years in Erath County; moving here from Granbury. He was a master electrician. Survivors include his wife, Sharon; children, Bridget and husband Keith Jarratt of Fort Davis, TX, Robert and wife Amy Newlin of Culloden, West Virginia, Lytrecia and husband Kevin Stout of Tolar, Cindy and husband Charles Gilbert of Granbury, and Sherry and husband Clif Robison of Garner; grandchildren, Dustie and husband Emory Bartolazzi of Spring, Lance Jarratt of Alpine, Annette and husband Brian Behan of Fort Davis, Angela, Whitney, and Taylor Kyle all of Tolar, Ashley and husband Cody Graybill of Fort Worth, Alyssa and Katey Gilbert both of Granbury; Ashley and husband Matt Findley of Plano, Cole Robison of Hurst, Courtney and Lyndsey Newlin both of West Virginia, Stacy and husband Brian Fielding, and Jody and wife Misty Shrum; great grandchildren, Mariah, Vincent, and Avery Sanchez, and Sye Behan all of Fort Davis, and Caycen Bartolazzi of Spring He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister. Memorials may be made in the form of donations to Pony Creek Baptist Church, P. O. Box 1481, Stephenville, Texas 76401.
