James E Brown

James E. Brown, 87, of Stephenville, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2009 in Glen Rose. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday January, 15, 2009 in the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gary Ward officiating. Interment will follow at the Coleman Cemetery in Coleman, Texas. James was born on July 22, 1921 in Ranger, Texas to the late Thomas and Lois Tetts Brown. He married Charlotte Sue Bourland in Stawn, Texas on April 14, 1945. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. James retired from the U.S. Postal Service and worked as a Real Estate Appraiser in Austin. He has resided in Stephenville since 2005 after living many years in the Austin area. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Brown; daughter Patricia Ann Gilbert; son, Scott Brown; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
