Jackie Lynn Burgan Rogers May 25, 1934 - March 12, 2016 Jackie Lynn Burgan Rogers, 81, of Stephenville, died Saturday, March 12, 2016 in Stephenville Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 15th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Neil Wade officiating. Burial will follow at Duffau Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Jackie was born on May 25, 1934 in Duffau to the late Elmer ‘Curley' and Johnnie Irene Lackey Burgan. She married Marshall Nelms Rogers on November 27, 1952 in the Millerville community. Marshall preceded her in death on March 23, 2003. Jackie was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, spent much of her time volunteering as a nurse's aide, senior citizen center, meals on wheels, and loved gospel singings. She was a homemaker. Jackie is survived by her children, Marsha Rogers of Stephenville, Carol and husband Greg Ladesic of Dublin, Wesley Rogers of Stephenville, and Kim and husband Mark Spruill of Stephenville; grandchildren Shelley and husband Jamie Barton, Melissa and husband Freddie Medina, Jeremy and wife Debbie Jones, and Krystal and husband Rich Macklin; and 10 great grandchildren. Jackie is also survived by three brothers, Max Burgan, Don and wife Sue Burgan, Kent ‘Buddy' and wife Betsy Burgan; four sisters, Key and husband Jerry Boyd, Kay and husband Dillard Rape, Margaret and husband David Tomlinson, and Alma and husband Ronnie Jackson, and numerous nieces and nephews Besides her parents and husband, Jackie was also preceded in death by a brother, Earl Burgan, and two sisters, Imogene Parker and Nina Jones. The Rogers family wishes expression of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Erath County Meals on Wheels or to the Stephenville Senior Citizen Center.
