Jack W. Hancock

Jack W. Hancock, 78, of Stephenville, died Monday, July 21, 2008, in Stephenville Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 23, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Stephenville, with Rev. Glenn Shock, officiating. Jack was born February 10, 1930, in Erath County, to Jack T. and Olene Bates Hancock. He married Zelma Derrick, March 21, 1953 in Carlsbad, NM. Jack was a member of the Baptist Church and a 4H Leader for many years. He was a rancher and a farmer. Survivors include his wife, Zelma; son, Bobby Hancock of Granbury; mother, Olene Hancock of Stephenville; brother, Lawrence Hancock of Stephenville; several nieces and nephews Jack was preceded in death by his father, and by a son, Jackie Wayne Hancock in 1961.
